Mark Tomlinson's John O'Groats to Lands End Challenge!

Beginning this mammoth cycling task took place on 1st August, starting at the famous village of John O'Groats a small habitat in the far North of Scotland. Mark and his good friend Chris began their target destination Lands End in Western Cornwall with a mere 876 miles in their way.

Throughout their journey they faced many challenges, day 3 being a particularly gruelling one, with the weather and a broken bike as an obstacle which they quickly overcame. However, day 5 came the longest leg of their journey taking them from Carlisle to Warrington a distance covering approximately 130 miles. Friends and colleagues came out in force to support him along the journey, with thanks to Mark Biggs who completed this particular section with him, Ryan Howarth and Andy Hodgson who completed the last leg of the day.

The days passed and the pedals turned and we're over the moon to announce that both Mark and Chris completed the journey in the predicted time frame on Tuesday 9th August! Mark commented "A tough task would be an understatement, but nothing in comparison to those who have to face cancer. Our challenge as a company is to raise 50,000 in 4 years for Macmillan Cancer Support to help those who have to face this terrible disease. If you would still like to sponsor please do so, as the more nurses and support we can give makes it all worthwhile!"
